Our story began when we met as college interns in the basement of a private high school in the middle of Chicago working from a shared space. On our journey learning from life, separate from each other we both observed the obstacles faced by those with emotional challenges generated from trauma, learning disabilities, and financial setbacks. We were blessed to meet the next generation of young adults who were bright, brilliant, intelligent, and resilient; who needed guidance. With the resources provided by the high school we were able to meet some of their needs, but soon we would discover there were many things still needed beyond the scope of the high school's ability.
From that need, we gave birth to STFWE inc, an organization that stands on four pillars. We worked to build a curriculum and from that grew STFWE Inc. We are now able to share our blessings with greater Chicagoland Area Community. Being life long learners, we strive to apply the lessons we've learned to prepare young adults for a successful, sustainable future through training educators in trauma informed social and emotional care. We continue to be blessed to help young adults recognize their own potential. We partner with organizations dedicated to helping those who struggle with adversities by encouraging them to overcome and succeed.

We strive to empower and equip educators in all communities with the emotional, educational, financial and career supports needed for their students to achieve their life goals, and to foster a more equitable and successful future for all by sharing adaptable models and insights.

Our strategy to approaching problems holistically is to focus on training educators on crisis and trauma; supporting families through interventions and providing resources; and directly support students through wellness education groups.

As approved Professional Development providers with the state of Illinois, we support educators, families, and students through training, counseling and coaching. Our team is comprised of highly trained and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible services. We are committed to ongoing education and training to ensure that we are up-to-date on the latest practices that focus on social connection and healing well being.
