Our story began as late blooming college interns, going back to school to be more qualified to help people. Our meeting took place in the basement of a private high school in the middle of Chicago working from a shared space. On our journey learning from life, separate from each other we both observed the obstacles faced by those with financial setbacks, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges. We were blessed to meet the next generation of young adults who were bright, brilliant, intelligent, and resilient; who needed guidance. With the resources provided by the high school we were able to meet some of their needs, but soon we would discover there were many things still needed beyond the scope of the high school's ability.

From that need, we gave birth to STFWE inc, an organization that stands on four pillars. We worked to build a curriculum and from that grew STFWE Inc.  We are now able to share our blessings with greater Chicagoland Area Community. Being life long learners, we strive to apply the lessons we've learned to prepare young adults for a successful, sustainable future. We continue to be blessed to help young adults recognize their own potential. We partner with organizations dedicated to helping those who struggle with adversities by encouraging them to overcome and succeed. We recognize the oppressive forces our clients are challenged by within the system that they are expected to thrive in despite their individuality.

The Mission

Our Goal

STFWE Inc. offers a comprehensive support system that addresses the multifaceted challenges faced by diverse and marginalized communities, with a focus on both local and global impact.

Our Strategy

By providing resources and support in critical areas, we lay a foundation upon our four pillars of nutrition, mental wellbeing, education, and financial literacy locally and globally.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of highly trained and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible services. We are committed to ongoing education and training to ensure that we are up-to-date on the latest practices that focus on social connection and healing well being.

Marilyn Williams

Marilyn is a highly skilled counseling professional with over a decade of experience specializing in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and academic advocacy. As a High School Counselor, she has spent the last decade helping young adults find their footing during life’s most difficult transitions. Marilyn's goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where healing—whether psychological, emotional, or spiritual—can truly begin.

Marilyn holds a Master’s in Human Services Counseling (Crisis Intervention) and a Bachelor’s in Psychology (Trauma and Crisis Intervention). Beyond clinical support, she is a Certified in College Career Counseling, a role in which she has successfully guided students in securing millions of dollars in scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of future success.

As a Certified Pastoral Counselor and a CADC Candidate, Marilyn integrates evidence-based clinical practices with a compassionate, holistic approach to recovery and spiritual wellness. Her career is defined by a steadfast commitment to helping individuals navigate their darkest moments while building the strategic roadmap and resilience necessary for long-term achievement.

Jeanne Clemmer

As a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Restorative Practitioner, Jeanne Clemmer approaches therapy with a unique academic foundation in Urban Studies and Sociology. Jeanne doesn’t just look at a diagnosis—she looks at the environment that creates friction in your daily life.

Jeanne views her clients through a holistic lens, incorporating her background in Child, Family, and Community Studies to help begin to learn the root of the struggle. Due to lived experiences, she has an intuitive understanding of neurodiverse populations. Whether you are dealing with profound grief or the exhaustion of "simple" tasks feeling impossible, Jeanne’s goal is to help you find your internal spark for lasting change.

Jeanne’s style is active and collaborative, moving away from the "clinical expert" model to become a true partner in your healing. By utilizing Strengths-Based therapy and Motivational Interviewing, she helps you stop fighting an uphill battle against yourself and start building a life that actually works for you.
